The MinterEllison annual report is the firm’s flagship document which aims to convey their activities during the previous year. This year, the report was one of the first publications to be designed in the firm’s refreshed ‘look and feel’ which Wills is spearheading. This included the bold use of their red and black corporate colours, supported by a new secondary colour suite, iconography style and photography.
Flexibility is key
The report was designed using graphic elements from the brand refresh that was still underway so the new brand palette would be tested during the process. The report also had to be designed to be possibly produced in alternate ways. Primarily housed as a PDF on a dedicated annual report section on their website, the design needed to translate seamlessly to a printed report if required.
Dynamic and engaging
The resulting report makes good use of MinterEllison’s strong and distinctive brand palette, featuring the new creative device ‘steps’ and accompanying graphics. The online annual report is designed to be read as a scrolling, single-page view PDF, as well as a printed document with double-page spreads. An interactive contents page and footers throughout provide easy and functional navigation.
